About us
OUR MISSION:
Sea knight German Shepherds is passionate about what we do. We love the German Shepherd dog breed. Although we are hobby breeders, we work hard to maintain breed standards. Our goals are to breed to the best of our ability. By doing so we select only the best breeding stock in the world. Our stock are always West German Sieger show lines. Title after title in every generation. We follow only German SV standards, the “Verein fur deutscher schaferhund”.
Most of our dogs are black and red with deep red pigment, solid black and on occasion we have sable. We primarily have all long coat but do have stock coats as well. Puppies come from parents who are in excellent health, certified hips/elbows X-Rayed and DNA tested.
We aren’t set up like a typical “kennel”. Our dogs live in our home with us. Puppies are raised inside our home as family dogs. They are handled multiple times a day, get kisses and snuggled. We do ens (early neurological stimulation) starting at 5 days old after their mom has imprinted and bonded with her babies, this helps stimulate a puppies neurological system. We also use “puppy culture”, this program helps build confident, social and desensitized puppies. They are subjected to many different sights, sounds (vacuums, loud artillery booms, very loud military aircraft) and problem solving situations such as puzzles.
Puppies are well socialized, learn potty training at an early age. This makes them excellent with children and other dogs. Our puppies are a product of great breeding. By selecting fantastic bloodlines, combined with great temperaments, confidence, a willingness to work for any task they are asked.
We often import pregnant females who are often bred to IPO3 studs from Europe. We get both stock and long coats with our litters. We strive to produce dogs with fantastic conformation, deep red/burgundy pigment with a dark black mask. We can also import puppies from Europe for you, if we don’t have what you want. Temperament and soundness is our top priority. We don’t ever breed weak nerve dogs.
All of our puppies born in the USA will be American kennel club registered. Any imported puppy will have foreign registration that will be transferred to AKC by the new owners.
Twice a year we raise a litter specifically for service dog work. This particular pairing has great success in producing task trained service dogs.
All of our dogs and puppies are superb. They make fantastic show dogs, family dogs, search and rescue, or service dogs.
